Thank you Cabin Fever team for an excellent day for Hunter. He commented several times on the way home how much fun he had. Everyone was so great and Marcus was so very kind to him. He was especially excited about the Torri Hunter ball he was given. I can't thank you all enough for providing my son a great day that he will remember for a very long time I'm sure. Not only for the fun part of the day but for Hunter to see and hear from all the people that care about supporting cancer research first hand. Just in the year Hunter has been in treatment we have seen some of the results and progress they have made in the treatments thanks to research.

Thank you ALL for the hard work you put into this event and helping to further cancer research.

2018

WOW…we cannot believe it has already been 9 years of joining forces with ALL OF YOU to fight cancer! Thank you to all who have been a part of this event, in-person and in-spirit; through donations of time, effort, gifts, services, sponsorship, and all other tokens of extreme generosity! We are blessed to be part of a wonderful community that bands together to fight this atrocious and (someday soon!!) curable disease! The 9th Annual Event in 2018 broke even more records! Helping achieve these milestones starts first and foremost with our Presenting Sponsor, Think Mutual Bank. We are also humbled by the enormous amount of other businesses and individuals who sponsor Cabin Fever. We are proud to announce that over 35 Gold Level Sponsors, 8 Silver Level Sponsors and 10 Bronze Level Sponsors have chosen to support Cabin Fever’s mission in 2018. This fantastic outpouring of resources allow us to honor our 2018 Cabin Fever Fighters and their Heroes: Courtney McGill and Court’s buddy, Marcus Sherels of the Minnesota Vikings; Maddie Engel and Maddie’s “personal doctor,” Pediatric Oncologist-Dr. Vilmarie Rodriguez; Meela Hoover and Meela’s partner-in-mischief/hospital buddy, Ben Groteboer, RN; and also Anna Malmquist (in memory) and her kids’ favorite princess and heroine, Moana! THANK YOU to all of our Fighters, past and present, for the strength, wisdom and bravery you have shown on your tumultuous and heart-wrenching journeys that you have shared with us. In your honor, we are pleased to announce that, together, we have raised over $78,000 at this year’s event for cancer research to be performed at our prestigious local health care facilities!

2017

Our 8th Annual event was the biggest spectacle to-date! The Big Ticket Raffle featured 25 fantastic prizes totaling over $13,000 in prizes including a trip to New York City, a Chef’s Table Dinner and Drinks for 8 people and a Craft Beer Getaway. The Live Auction at the event included over-the-top packages including a See-It-All/Do-It-All Vacation to Chicago, a Great Lakes Chartered Fishing Package, a Wild Hockey and Craft Beer Getaway and a Backyard/Tailgating Bash of your dreams. Due to the amazing support from our friends, family and community, we featured over 200 elite-level silent auction items. From the numerous kids activities to the face-painting and hair bling; from the live entertainment and family-friendly games, fun and excitement was enjoyed by the 1500+ spectators in attendance. Most importantly, we were blessed to honor four inspiring young individuals as our Fighters at the event. 7-year-old Charlie Thomas was accompanied by his Hero, Roo Yori – The K-9 Ninja from American Ninja Warrior. Minnesota Vikings stud CB/KR/PR, Marcus Sherels, paired with 13-year-old Connor Johnson. Hunter Gifford, who was 7 years old, chose his uplifting teacher from Lincoln K-8, Mr. (Will) Ruffin to be his Hero. And not to be outdone, Jack Cassidy, who was 4 years old, was lucky to have another superhero by his side at the event in the form of the Man of Steel…Clark Kent-himself…Superman!!! (aka: Nick Floberg). After all the dust settled from this spectacular event, over $76,000 was raised for cancer research! A GINORMOUS THANK YOU to all who supported us throughout this past year! We couldn’t do it without you and your extreme generosity!

2016

It was another breakout year of fundraising in the battle against cancer. The 7th Annual Event showcased the addition of a live auction to the already lengthy list of outstanding silent auction items. The live auction featured handcrafted furniture, tickets to professional hockey and basketball games, autographed sports merchandise and private, in-home dinners prepared by professional chefs among other spectacular items. It was a great privilege to introduce the 2016 Cabin Fever Fighters: Nora Wegner, Brennan Miland and Hannah Keehr. They were honored during our Fighter Round with a marvelously produced montage of each Fighter created by KTTC, with voiceover from KTTC’s own Tom Overlie. Cabin Fever also honored a dear friend, Irv Gage, who lost his battle with cancer in 2015. The Cabin Fever Committee wore periwinkle colored shirts with the initials I.A.G. over their hearts in honor of Irv and others battling esophageal cancer. After all the proceeds were totaled, the 2016 Cabin Fever Event raised over $73,000 for the Eagles Cancer Telethon to be donated toward cancer research! THANK YOU TO ALL - We did this together!

2015

What a fantastic year for Cabin Fever! The 6th Annual Event boasted another amazing Big Ticket raffle featuring 25 outstanding prizes including a trip to New York City and a private in-home dinner! Cabin Fever was honored to have KTTC’s Jess Abrahamson introduce Emma Crossman, Isabella Schlatter, Carter Simonson, Andrew & Evan Hoopman, Lacey McClain and Bryce Thalmann (in memory) as Honorary Captains of the Event during the Fighter Round. Our Fighter’s Heroes for the Fighter Round included Princesses, Nurses, Veterinarians, Pro Football Players, Pro Baseball Players and others who were near & dear to our Fighter’s hearts. In all, after a spectacular event with an outstanding turnout of over 1500 spectators in attendance, Cabin Fever was proud to donate over $62,000 to cancer research! Thank you to everyone who supported us in this journey! We could not do this without your help!

2014

Cabin Fever continued the trend of bigger and better in 2014! The Rochester International Event Center welcomed 128 teams and well over a thousand guests. This year we were proud to honor the following fighters: Lacey McClain, Lydia Pankratz and the Wade Reynolds family playing in memory of Wade. With something going on in every corner of the event center from start to finish, together we all raised $63,988 to go towards cancer research and almost ½ ton of food that was donated to the Channel One food bank! This event continues to grow beyond our expectations and is a testament to the hard work of our volunteers and the generosity of the community!

2013

2013 was a banner year for Cabin Fever! We grew dramatically to 128 teams and changed venues to the Rochester International Event Center to handle the growth. With the larger space we were able to add many new activities to the event including the Fighter Round, live entertainment, karaoke, Bargo, a giant screen sports TV lounge, and many others. The fighters we honored in this inaugural event were Ana vanKoeverden, Lindsey Ward, Wyatt Deno, Austin Hosfeld, and Hunter Mundfrom. In addition we had a greatly expanded silent auction. The result was a smashing success as we raised and donated over $53,000 to the Eagles Cancer Telethon! This is all thanks to YOU and we cannot say enough how much we appreciate your fantastic support!

2012

In 2012 we hosted 80 teams and donated over $29,000 to the Eagles Cancer Telethon! WOW! We had a great event and made a significant contribution for this important cause. Of course this was only possible thanks to our many sponsors, raffle donors, and participants. Thank you all!

2011

In 2011 we were able to donate over $13,000 thanks to our many supporters and 64 bean bag teams. This year was the year of the "Handsome Ransom" (thanks Brad!) and a venue change to the Clarion Inn. A huge thanks to the many sponsors and raffle donors who made the tournament a success!!!
